Day 6

Enjoy a leisurely morning and breakfast before heading to Positano port, where we'll board a ferry to the enchanting island of Capri, nestled in the Tyrrhenian Sea off the Sorrentine Peninsula. Next, we’ll embark on an orientation tour of Capri, visit the Gardens of Augustus, and take a funicular ride to the top for breathtaking views of the island. Day 7

Pompei - Torre Del Greco - Naples

Day 7

After breakfast, we depart Sorrento for Pompeii, the ancient Roman city frozen in time by Mount Vesuvius’s catastrophic eruption in 79 AD. Excavated in 1748, Pompeii offers a hauntingly vivid glimpse into daily life nearly two millennia ago—its streets, villas, and frescoes telling tales of a city once full of life, pleasure, and ultimately, tragedy. A short drive brings us to Torre del Greco, a seaside town famed for its fishing heritage, luxurious bathing resorts, and exceptional coral and cameo artistry. Home to a distinguished coral carving school and museum, this town blends craftsmanship with coastal charm. We then arrive in Naples—once Neapolis, the “new city” of Greek origin and now the beating heart of Southern Italy. Known for its storied past, vibrant streets, and as the birthplace of pizza, Naples invites us to experience its rich flavors and spirit. We end the day with dinner and an overnight stay in this lively, historic city.

Day 8

Naples - Vesuvius - Herculaneum

Day 8

After breakfast, we set out for Mount Vesuvius, the iconic volcano that towers above the Bay of Naples and Pompeii. A drive up its slopes rewards us with panoramic views of the coastline and countryside—a breathtaking moment at the edge of history. On our return, we stop at Herculaneum, the ancient Roman town buried by the same eruption that destroyed Pompeii. Better preserved and more intimate in scale, its mosaics, frescoes, and wooden structures offer a remarkably vivid portrait of Roman life. Back in Naples, we dive into one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities. Our tour winds through the vibrant Spaccanapoli, past the intricate artistry of Cappella San Severo, the grandeur of Piazza del Gesù, and the sacred beauty of the Cathedral of St. Gennaro. The day concludes with a hearty dinner and restful overnight stay, wrapped in Naples’ unique blend of history, culture, and charm.
