As you descend the 600 meters (approximately 2,000 feet) from the crater rim to the floor, the landscape transforms before your eyes. You might catch sight of lions, hyenas, or even the elusive leopard. The crater floor supports a year-round water supply and fodder, enabling it to sustain a large number of animal species, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, and the endangered black rhinoceros.

Spanning nearly 3000 square kilometres, this park is renowned for its vast elephant population and iconic baobab trees. Its name is derived from the Tarangire River, meandering through its terrain. Thanks to its diverse ecosystems and the perennial waters of the Tarangire River, the park provides a sanctuary for over 2000 elephants and is a haven for bird enthusiasts with over 500 bird species.

After a hearty breakfast, kick off your day with a morning game drive in Tarangire. Later, following lunch, your journey continues as you head to Arusha and proceed to Namanga border where you cross the border back to Kenya and proceed to Amboseli national park for overnight stay.
